Flat roof window, fixed version
Fixed Intura flat roof windows
Plenty of daylight without an opening mechanism: simple, sleek and well insulated.
A fixed flat roof window is the logical choice when daylight and thermal performance matter most and ventilation through the window is not required. Choose clear HR++ glazing, higher-performance HR+++ triple glazing, solar-control glazing or opal glass for greater privacy.
Choose the right glazing
Four fixed versions, each with a clear purpose.
The function is always the same: permanent daylight through a non-opening flat roof window. The difference lies in insulation, solar control and privacy.
PGX A1 · clear HR++
A versatile fixed version for extensions, kitchens, living rooms, offices or bedrooms. Clear safety glass provides abundant daylight and a view of the sky.
Glazing: HR++ · Ug: 1.0 W/m²K · Uw: 0.99 W/m²K
View fixed HR++ flat roof windows →PGX B1 · clear HR+++ triple
For energy-efficient new builds, renovations and well-insulated extensions. Triple glazing reduces heat loss more effectively than the HR++ version.
Glazing: HR+++ · Ug: 0.5 W/m²K · Complete-unit U-value: approximately 0.64 W/m²K
View fixed triple-glazed flat roof windows →PGX A9 or B9 · solar control
Suitable for large glazed areas or roofs exposed to strong direct sunlight. Available with solar-control HR++ glazing or solar-control HR+++ triple glazing.
Choose this for: strong solar exposure, rooms that heat up quickly or improved summer comfort.
View solar-control flat roof windows →PGX A7 · opal HR++
Opal glass, also known as frosted glass, diffuses daylight more softly and limits direct views through the window. A practical choice for bathrooms and sanitary spaces.
Glazing: opal HR++ · Ug: 1.0 W/m²K · Uw: 0.99 W/m²K
View the flat roof window with opal glass →Why choose a fixed version?
The simplest route to more daylight.
Without motors, hinges or controls, the product construction remains straightforward. This makes a fixed flat roof window particularly suitable when the room is already ventilated in another way.
- Abundant natural light and a clear view of the sky
- Choice of clear, solar-control or opal glass
- HR++ or higher-performance HR+++ triple glazing
- Low-maintenance PVC frame
- Complete unit with insulated upstand
- Suitable for new builds, extensions and renovations
Choosing a size
From a compact rooflight to a large glazed area.
The product size is the roof opening size. Before ordering, always check the roof structure, the product-specific drawing and the required distribution of daylight. In a long room, two smaller windows can sometimes distribute light more evenly than one large window.
Which size suits my room? Consider the floor area, the use and depth of the room, dark zones and the location of the roof opening. A glazed area of approximately 10% of the floor area is a useful initial guide, but it is not an official daylight calculation.
For contractors and roofers
Complete and pre-assembled.
The glazing, window frame and insulated upstand form one complete unit. This means fewer loose components, fewer connections and efficient installation on the roof.
Install the flat roof window with sufficient fall within the specified range of 2–15°. Match the supporting structure, roof covering and lifting method to the selected size and weight.

Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about fixed flat roof windows.
What is a fixed flat roof window?
A fixed flat roof window is a non-opening daylight solution with flat insulating glass for a flat or slightly pitched roof. It is intended for rooms where ventilation is already provided in another way.
What is the difference between a fixed and an electrically ventilated flat roof window?
A fixed flat roof window only brings in daylight. An electrically ventilated flat roof window has a motor and can be opened for natural ventilation. Choose a fixed version when an opening function is not required.
Should I choose HR++ or HR+++ triple glazing?
The PGX A1 with HR++ glass is the versatile standard choice. The PGX B1 with HR+++ triple glazing provides better insulation and suits energy-efficient new builds, renovations and highly insulated extensions. Also compare price, weight and the project-specific insulation requirement.
When is solar-control glazing a sensible choice?
Solar-control glazing is useful with strong direct sunlight, a large glazed area or a room that heats up quickly. It reduces part of the incoming solar heat, although ventilation, orientation and additional shading also affect summer comfort.
What is the benefit of opal glass?
Opal glass diffuses daylight and limits direct views through the window. It is therefore suitable for bathrooms and other rooms where daylight is welcome but a clear view is not required.
Is the stated size the external product size?
No. For the Intura PGX series, the commercial size is used as the roof opening size. The product's total external dimensions are larger. Always consult the technical drawing for the selected version before forming the opening.
Is the flat roof window supplied as a complete unit?
Yes. The fixed Intura flat roof window is supplied as a complete unit with glazing, PVC frame and insulated upstand. The roof covering, structural opening and fixings must be matched to the individual project.
How quickly is a fixed flat roof window delivered?
Stock products are delivered in an average of 2–3 working days. Other versions and temporarily out-of-stock sizes may have a longer lead time; the current product page is always decisive.
