Intura FLH Premium · electric roof access
Electric access to the roof. With daylight included.
Turn a flat roof or roof terrace into a comfortable destination. FLH Premium is a large electrically operated roof access hatch with a sleek glazed finish, solar-control triple safety glazing and impressive made-to-measure options.
For roof terraces, homes, renovations and professional projects.

A usable roof starts with the right access
Open up the roof to the outdoors.
During the day, FLH Premium is a large rooflight. At the touch of a button, it becomes a generous route to the roof. These projects show how electric roof access can become an integral part of roof-terrace architecture.

Comfortable access to the roof
The large glazed sash opens electrically to create a clear route to a roof or roof terrace.

Quiet architectural integration
The slim black detailing complements modern frames, balustrades and outdoor spaces.

Stairs, opening and terrace
Coordinate the structural opening, staircase, balustrade, hinge side and walking route at an early design stage.

Which FL Premium solution suits your roof?
Do you need roof access?
Choose FLH when the glazed area must become a full-size electric opening to the roof or roof terrace.
View FLHWhat clear roof opening is required?
State whether each dimension refers to the structural opening, clear opening, product size or external size. Coordinate the stairs and route accordingly.

Explore bespoke optionsThe FL Premium family
Roof access, ventilation, fixed daylight and special shapes.
Start with the required function, then define the size, glazing, colour and construction detail. This keeps the rooflight both attractive and practical to use and install.

- Special sizes and configurations
- Technical feasibility assessed per project

Bespoke design beyond standard shapes
Rectangular, round or entirely project-specific.
Not every design fits a standard rectangular size. Intura can also produce round fixed flat roof windows. Diameter, upstand, glazing, colour and roof connection are coordinated with the project and technically assessed.
Special projects can also include extra-long rooflights, repeated units, multi-panel glazed areas combining fixed and opening sections, or a solution designed around an existing structural opening. Bespoke feasibility depends on the structure, transport, glass weight and installation conditions.
- Round fixed flat roof windows
- Extra-long and large glazed areas
- Fixed and electrically opening sections
- Repeated elements for commercial buildings
- Renovation of existing roof openings
- Project-specific colour and glazing
Daylight, insulation and summer comfort
Solar-control triple safety glazing as the premium standard.
Black Edition comes with solar-control triple safety glazing as standard. The glazing combines a laminated low-e inner pane, a cavity filled with approximately 90% argon and a toughened outer pane.
Ug 0.5 W/m²K
Ug describes the thermal transmittance of the glazing alone. A lower value means less heat is lost through the glazed area.
Uw depends on size and type
A Uw value of 0.88 W/m²K is stated for FLX B9 100 × 300. For FLH 100 × 200 and 90 × 240, the stated Uw value is 0.99 W/m²K. Request the project-specific value for bespoke units.
Solar control, not solar exclusion
The glass reduces solar heat gain. Orientation, glazed area, ventilation and room use determine the actual summer comfort.
Design and installation
Roof access is part of the complete access route.
The insulated upstand is finished internally in white pre-coated steel. Externally, black fibreglass is used with 6 cm insulation and an integrated 3° slope. The black RAL 9005 aluminium outer profile is welded at the corners and sealed to the glass around its full perimeter.
For FLH, the roof opening, staircase, opening direction, clear access, balustrade, roof edge and fall protection must be designed as one complete route. The Anti Crush Safety System protects the closing movement, but does not replace constructional fall protection or a safe-access design.
Define the power supply, cable route, operating controls and maintenance access before the roof and ceiling finishes are closed.
Check before ordering
- Confirm the clear roof opening and product size.
- Define the hinge side and opening direction.
- Check the staircase, clear access and walking route.
- Design the balustrade, roof edge and fall protection.
- Verify the supporting structure and bearing surfaces.
- Define the direction of the integrated 3° slope.
- Plan the power supply, controls and service access.
- Check transport and lifting access.

Technical knowledge
Practical information about FL Premium
Use this information during the initial design stage. Final performance, dimensions and connection details must always be confirmed in the quotation, product specification and technical drawing.
How does an electric FLH roof access hatch work?
The glazed sash is hinged along the long side and opened and closed by two 24V, 5000 N motors. According to the product information, the 100 × 200 version includes remote and app operation.
Define the power supply, cable route, control position and maintenance access before the internal finishes are completed.
Which sizes are available from stock?
The FLH B9 100 × 200 and 90 × 240 cm roof access hatches are offered as stock models. The fixed FLX B9 100 × 300 cm is also available from stock. FLH 120 × 360 cm is a project version.
Stock and lead times can change, so always check the current status on the product page before ordering.
Can Intura make a round flat roof window?
Yes. A round fixed flat roof window can be manufactured as a project-specific solution. Diameter, upstand, glazing, colour, roof build-up and connection are determined and technically assessed for each project.
A round version is bespoke and does not automatically have the same performance, options or lead time as a rectangular stock model.
What is the difference between FLH, FLE and FLX?
FLH is a large electric roof access hatch. FLE has electrically opening sections for ventilation. FLX is fixed and provides daylight without moving parts.
A ventilation sash is not a full-size access opening. Always begin with the intended use.
What safety provisions are required for roof access?
The Anti Crush Safety System detects resistance while closing and automatically reopens the FLH sash. This protects the closing movement, but does not provide a complete safe-access system.
The stairs, clear opening, balustrades, roof edge, fall protection and usage protocol remain project-specific design elements.
What does the integrated 3° slope do?
The slight slope helps drain rainwater and dirt from the glass. Define the direction of the slope and coordinate it with the actual drainage direction of the roof.
The integrated slope does not replace correctly designed roof falls, drainage or a watertight connection.
What is the difference between Ug and Uw?
Ug applies to the glazing alone. Uw applies to the complete product, including the profiles and upstand. Uw will therefore usually be higher than Ug.
Black Edition glazing has a standard Ug value of 0.5 W/m²K. A Uw value of 0.99 W/m²K is stated for FLH 100 × 200 and 90 × 240. Request the project-specific value for bespoke units.
What are common mistakes when specifying electric roof access?
- Confusing product size with the clear roof opening.
- Designing the stairs, clear access and hinge side separately.
- Defining the power supply and controls too late.
- Leaving fall protection and the roof edge outside the design.
- Assessing the structure and lifting method too late.
- Not defining the direction of the integrated 3° slope.
